Pam For The Glam

A soft, pretty crowd-pleaser that leans youthful but still feels polished.

Hi, glamazons! If you are in the mood for a fragrance that feels light, pretty, and effortlessly put together, Zara Wonder Rose is one of those easy picks you will keep reaching for. It has that fresh, everyday charm that works whether you are heading out or just want to feel a little extra polished.

The Scent

Wonder Rose opens with a bright, slightly juicy touch of red fruits. Think soft berries instead of anything sharp or syrupy. Almost immediately, a delicate floral heart comes through. The rose here is light and airy, not powdery or vintage. It blends seamlessly with a fresh, dewy softness that keeps everything feeling modern.

As it settles, the base becomes gently creamy with a soft vanilla warmth. There is a clean, skin-like quality that keeps the fragrance from leaning too sweet. Overall, it is feminine, fresh, and easy to wear in the most effortless way.

Notes

Top: Red fruits

Heart: Rose

Base: Vanilla

Longevity

Expect around 3 to 5 hours on the skin. It becomes more intimate as it wears, but the soft vanilla base tends to linger a bit longer on clothes. This is one you will likely want to reapply if you are out all day.

Projection and Sillage

Projection is moderate during the first hour, then softens into a close-to-the-skin scent. Sillage is light and clean. It leaves a subtle, fresh trail rather than a bold statement.

When to Wear

Perfect for daytime. Think school, casual brunches, errands, or even just a quiet day when you want to feel fresh and pretty. It shines in warm weather because it never feels heavy.

Comparisons and Similarities

Wonder Rose often reminds people of a few high-end fragrances, though it captures the overall vibe more than being an exact match.

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet gives a similar airy floral feel with that soft peony and rose combination. Wonder Rose is a bit sweeter and more relaxed.

Chloé Eau de Parfum also centers on rose, but it is more powdery and sophisticated with stronger staying power. Wonder Rose feels lighter and more playful.

Lancôme Idôle shares a clean, modern rose profile with a fresh, almost luminous quality. Idôle leans more refined and slightly musky with better longevity and projection, while Wonder Rose feels softer, fruitier, and more casual. They sit in the same family, but Idôle comes across as more elevated and long-wearing.

The Verdict

Zara Wonder Rose is not meant to be bold or dramatic. It is pretty, clean, and incredibly easy to wear. The kind of fragrance that quietly becomes part of your daily routine.

If you want something long-lasting or statement-making, this may not be it. But if you are after a soft, feminine scent that always feels appropriate, this one delivers.

Thanks for dropping by and may the glam be with you always!

There are some fragrances that quietly become staples, and Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia is one of them. This bottle was actually a gift, and I had been so excited to finally try it for myself. I have always found the scent absolutely lovely on friends who wear it, so getting the chance to experience it on my own skin felt extra special.

English Pear & Freesia is fresh, elegant, and effortlessly pretty without feeling complicated. If you enjoy scents that are clean, fruity, and softly floral, this one easily earns its place in a fragrance wardrobe.

Price Point (Philippine estimate)

30 ml – around ₱4,300 to ₱4,800

50 ml – around ₱6,800 to ₱7,400

100 ml – around ₱9,500 to ₱10,500

Notes

Top Note

King William Pear

Heart Note

Freesia

Base Notes

Patchouli, Amber, Woods

The first spray is bright and juicy. The pear note is crisp and fresh, almost like the scent of a perfectly ripe fruit on a cool morning. It has sweetness, but it is natural and never syrupy.

As it settles on the skin, the freesia comes forward and softens the fruitiness. The floral note is delicate and airy, giving the fragrance a gentle elegance that feels very Jo Malone.

In the dry down, the woods and patchouli add a subtle warmth that keeps the fragrance from feeling too light. The scent remains clean and polished, with just enough depth to feel complete.

Sillage

Light to moderate. This is not a room filling fragrance. Instead, it creates a soft scent bubble that people notice when they are close to you.

Longevity

Around 4 to 6 hours on skin. Like many Jo Malone colognes, it wears softly and may need a mid day refresh if you want the scent to last into the evening.

Final Thoughts

English Pear & Freesia is one of those fragrances that simply works. It is easy to wear, easy to love, and perfect for everyday use. It feels fresh, feminine, and polished without trying too hard.

If you enjoy fragrances that smell clean, fruity, and quietly elegant, this Jo Malone classic is definitely worth experiencing.

There is something so charming about lip and cheek tints. They give you that soft effortless glow that feels fresh and youthful without even trying. Lately I have been reaching for the Maybelline Teddy Tints and I have to say they are such a treat to use. They glide on so smoothly and blend like a dream leaving behind the prettiest wash of color that looks like it is coming from within.

The shade range is what really won me over. Ribbon Tied is the sweetest soft pink. It is the kind of shade that instantly brightens the face and gives you that innocent doll like flush. Buffed Out is a warm neutral that is perfect for everyday wear. It has that barely there quality that makes it look like your own natural color just a little more polished.

For something a little playful I love Tomato Girl. It is that juicy red that looks so lively and fun. It gives the cheeks that sun kissed just-came-back-from-the-beach vibe and on the lips it is such a cheerful pop of color. Then there is Mascara Tear which is a deeper brown shade that feels grounding and sophisticated. It adds warmth and depth in a way that is still wearable and chic whether you use it to contour the cheeks with a soft tint or dab it on the lips for a moody everyday look.

One thing I truly appreciate about the Teddy Tints is the formula itself. Unlike some tints they do not dry out the lips or settle into lines and they never emphasize flakes. They feel comfortable and lightweight yet last all day on the lips. After blotting they become fully transfer proof which is such a plus. Some people may notice a slight tacky feeling when they first apply but this goes away completely after blotting leaving you with a velvety matte finish that looks smooth and refined.

What I adore most is how versatile they are. There is no heaviness just great color that is easy to tone down for a a natural effect or build up if you want more intensity. Whether I want a no-makeup makeup day or a flushed glam look they deliver every time.

The Maybelline Teddy Tints have definitely earned their spot in my everyday routine. They are practical fun and they make me feel put together in seconds. If you love multitasking products that look beautiful without the effort these are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Hi, Glamazons! Today I am going to feature MAC's Matte Blush in Burnt Pepper. It comes in a sleek black packaging that lets you see the product inside. I would describe this shade to be a deep, warm-toned, brick red. True to pan in color, it is very pigmented and a little goes a long way.  Buildability is great and blendability is excellent-- Which is a good thing for this kind of pigmentation.  A lot of people say it looks lovely on deeper skin tones but with a light touch, it can work well for fairer tones as well.

This is a great summer blush. Piling it on can make you look like you have sunburnt skin and if that is the look you're going for, this is perfect for it because it does make you look more flushed than some of the  other blush shades out there. I've also used this blush as an eyeshadow and it works wonderfully.

I actually like to build more pigmentation around my temples then diffuse it down the apples of my cheeks to give me a snatched look without needing a  bronzer or contour item to define my cheekbones. I find that doing my makeup this way just gives me a lifted and sharper look than if I were to place the blush lower.

All in all I really like this blush and it's definitely something I reach for often nowadays.

Thanks for dropping by and may the glam be with you always! :)

If someone had told me that a ₱200 tin from the drugstore could rival the results of a luxury moisturizer, I might not have believed it. But after a few weeks of using the classic Nivea Creme in the iconic blue tin, I can confidently say my skin has never felt more hydrated. It helped repair my skin barrier after having a bad experience with a skincare line and clinic. I should have listened to my college friend that it was a wonderful product when I saw her generously slather it one night during one of our out of town completions for school.

This product has recently gained renewed attention on TikTok as users begin to explore skincare routines inspired by their mothers and grandmothers. More people are turning to tried-and-tested basics, and brands like Vaseline, Pond’s, and Nivea are once again being recognized for their simplicity and long-term effectiveness. The Appeal of the Blue Tin The first thing you notice is the texture. Nivea Creme is rich, thick, and almost balm-like. It softens when warmed between the hands and spreads smoothly across the skin.

I have been using it at night as the final step in my skincare routine, and the results are immediate. My skin looks like a glazed donut with a dewy, luminous finish that feels deeply moisturized. Visible Results Within just a few days, I noticed my skin feeling softer, more supple, and visibly more radiant. In the morning, the moisture remains locked in. My face no longer feels tight or dry, and there are no signs of flaking or dullness. I also began using the cream on my body, especially on areas prone to dryness such as elbows, knees, and heels. To my surprise, the rough skin on my feet became noticeably smoother, even after just a few uses. It has also been very helpful in calming dry patches that appear after using exfoliating products. Whether I apply acids or retinol, this cream brings relief and balance without irritation. Most importantly, it has not caused me to break out. I have allergies and sensitivities to many ingredients, so I was cautious at first. However, the cream has worked well for me so far. While some individuals may have sensitivities to it, I personally have experienced no adverse reactions.

Looking like a glazed donut after slathering on the Nivea Creme

Nivea Creme contains occlusive ingredients such as petrolatum and lanolin, which help to seal in moisture and protect the skin barrier. It is not packed with trendy actives or complex formulas. It simply delivers what the skin needs: deep and lasting hydration. Sometimes, a basic and consistent approach is all it takes to see meaningful improvement.

Using Nivea Creme feels both practical and nostalgic. It is affordable, accessible, and reliable. For anyone feeling overwhelmed by multi-step skincare routines or high-end products that overpromise and underdeliver, this simple blue tin might be the refreshing change you are looking for. It has certainly earned a permanent spot in my routine. It's an oldie but goodie product that deserves to be given a chance at some point in your skincare journey.

Hi, Glamazons! Let’s talk about the facial mist that has quietly taken over my skincare routine: the D’Alba First Spray Serum. If you’ve spent any time scrolling beauty TikTok or diving into Korean skincare, you’ve probably seen this sleek gold bottle pop up more than once. The hype? Completely justified. And just so we’re clear, I’m officially starting on my second and third bottle. Yes, I loved the formula so much that I got another bottle for my vanity and a small one for my bag.

This is one of those products I picked up thinking it would be a cute addition to my vanity even when I was initially skeptical about it. It turned out to be a staple I can’t live without.

The “Flight Attendant Glow” in a Bottle

They call this the “flight attendant spray” in Korea because it’s what flight crews use mid-flight to keep their skin fresh and glowing. Honestly, I get it. It’s part mist, part serum, and full-on luxury.

Inside the bi-phase formula (give it a shake before using) is a beautiful mix of white truffle extract, niacinamide, and natural oils like avocado and sunflower seed. Together, they hydrate, brighten, and soften the skin without any greasy residue. The mist is ultra-fine, no heavy droplets or uneven spraying here.

The scent is light, clean, and elegant. It feels like a boutique spa in a bottle.

How I Use It

This isn’t one of those occasional mists that collect dust on your shelf. I use it constantly.

  • In the morning, after toner and before moisturizer
  • As a mid-day refresh to bring life back into tired skin or makeup
  • Right before events when I want a fresh, glowy base
  • Sometimes at night as a final step when I want to feel extra pampered

It layers beautifully under and over makeup, giving your skin that healthy, lit-from-within finish. Even on tired skin days, it perks me up instantly.

And here’s the magic: it makes a full face of makeup look like natural skin. Somehow, it melts everything together and takes down the powdery, flat look without ever messing up your base. Foundation, blush, highlight... it all just looks like your actual face, only better.

Is It Worth It?

This is definitely a luxury product, but it earns its place. You’re getting the benefits of a toner, serum, and mist all in one, which simplifies your routine without compromising on results.

After finishing my first bottle, I noticed:

  • A more even skin tone
  • Softer, smoother texture
  • A natural glow that made me want to skip foundation
  • And yes, my makeup started looking way more seamless and skin-like

Now that I’m on my third bottle, I can confidently say it’s a forever repurchase. It’s not just skincare. It’s a ritual. At 43, I am getting compliments for my skin's healthy glow.

Final Verdict

The D’Alba First Spray Serum is a skincare essential for anyone who wants that effortless, hydrated glow. It’s a quiet luxury moment that actually delivers, and it fits into both simple and more elaborate routines.

If your skin needs a boost, or your routine needs a refresh, this is the one. It’s glow, it’s glam, and it makes you look like you were born with great skin, even if you’re wearing a full face.

May the glam be with you always! :)
