Pam For The Glam

Hello, gorgeous! I just want to share with you our pampering date at My Skin Origins Facial and Skincare Center last Saturday. We were given the chance to experience one of the facial services and we really enjoyed it. We had such a good time that we're actually already talking about our next visit. The Diamond Microdermabrasion + Premium was certainly one of the most luxurious skin care procedures we've ever tried.

Here's a short video of our My Skin Origins date

We've never had a facial experience quite like the one we had at My Skin. It went on for 2 hours with so many techniques we'd never tried before. The therapists were very professional, thorough, and accommodating. They would patiently answer our questions and voluntarily present information about the procedure as well as other services offered in their clinic. They went about the process unhurriedly, making sure we had a pleasant experience. That is probably one of the things I really liked about it because we didn't feel rushed. One of my pet peeves in getting a facial is an attendant acting as if she'd rather be somewhere else, doing something else. I did not experience this at the My Skin Clinic. You can really sense their presence of mind and their genuine interest in making the client comfortable. Believe it or not, I've had the terrible experience of getting my facial done by someone who ate and went on FB whilst the alarm for my steaming had already gone off and she even nonchalantly refused to be interrupted. So, yes, the therapist's performance and attitude both factor into the overall experience.

I immediately noticed how my skin felt smooth and how the pores looked smaller. My skin was glowing even without makeup. I've always winged the glow with highlighter but this time I was makeup free. I suppose the diamond dermabrasion really took away my skin dullness and refined my pores. Even hubby looked positively radiant.

All in all, we had a great time and we're so excited for our next visit.

If you like planning out things in advance like me, then you're probably thinking about doing something sweet for your significant other for Valentine's Day already. If you're in Davao, then My Skin Origins has the perfect Valentine's offering for you--- Pay As One. It doesn't get sweeter than that. You and Bae can avail of any of the services at My Skin Origins for the price of one. The Pay As One promo is open to lovebirds and bffs for the whole month of february. So if you want a good price for a sweet treat, you shouldn't pass this up.

Skin Care and beauty goodies are also available at their clinic. You can choose from a variety of products to give as gifts. Here are a few of our current favorites.

I'm planning to write more about the products I've tried from their skin care line so I hope you come back to check on my review for them.

For updates about  the My Skin Origins February Promo, visit their Facebook Page My Skin Origins, their IG @myskinorigins, or call their clinic in Jacinto (082) 321 2533.

Thanks again for visiting! May the glam be with you! :)

Hi, glamazons! This is my first post for the DBS (Davao Bloggers Society) Glam Squad's Makeup Monday. The challenge is to post anything makeup related for our group.

For today's MOTD, I used the following items:

1. My Skin Day Cream for sun protection because I just had my diamond dermabrasion+premium facial at My Skin Origins Facial and Skincare Center last saturday.

2. Nivea Post Shave Balm for my primer.

3. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in #03 to outline and fill in my brows

4. Maybelline Fashion Brow Coloring Mascara to match my brow hairs with my colored mane

5. Naturactor Coverface to wrap my brows and produce a sharper look

6. Mac Espresso Eyeshadow  and Mac Brulé Eyeshadow for to my eye makeup. Brulé for my eye base and lids then Espresso for my crease

7. Etude House 101pencil in #49 to line my lower lashline

8. Maybelline Hypersharp Liner for my winged out eye drama

9. Clinique High Impact Mascara to make my lashes look lush

10. L'Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24 Hour Foundation as my base to give my skin the covergae it needs

11. Wet n Wild  Coverall Correcting Palette for fixing problem areas and discolorations

12. La Girl Pro Concealer in toast as my cream contour

13. Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser as concealer and cream highlighter

14.  Bench Daily Spell for baking because I needed both the spf and coverage

15. Kat Von D Shade Light Contour Palette to set my contour and frame my face

16. Milani Luminoso for a subtle peach flush

17. Sleek Solstice to highlight the highest points of my cheeks, tip of my nose, and inner corners of my eyes

18. Colourpop Clueless for a sweet matte pink color for my lips

19. L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray to set the look.

That's basically how I came up with this motd.

Thanks for visiting and may the glam be with you! :)

Hello, Glamazons! One of the best beauty finds to kick off this year's glam is the Bench Daily Spell Magic Powder.

Julie, of As Told By Julz, got it for one of our Glam Squad shoots and she used it for baking on our 500 peso Makeup Challenge. At only Nineteen pesos and fifty centavos, it was certainly a steal. We all wound up buying it for ourselves after Julie told us how well it worked for her.

I've never used any setting powder this affordable and I was honestly a bit skeptical and even a little apprehensive that it might cause breakouts on my skin. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed for finishing my motd and so relieved that after several uses, my skin had no untoward reaction to it. It reminds me of Coty Airspun, which is a great setting powder but has a scent I don't quite like. Bench Daily Spell Magic Powder offers the same flawless finish without the granny smell. It's unscented! That's something I really love because I prefer products without any fragrance.

It has a mixture of both pink and yellow undertones and performs well as a setting powder. Initially, I felt it wasn't a match for me because of the pink undertone--- I'm more yellow than pink, you see... But once I learned how much of it I needed to use and how to work with it, it's become a beauty fave! The oil control is quite impressive and the finish is seamless.

To rate, my top 1 finishing powder is Ben Nye, 2: RCMA, 3: Bench Daily Spell, 4: Coty, 5: naturactor, and 6: Nichido Final Powder. All of which are great powders in my book.

For a beauty product under 20 pesos, it's holding its own quite well. Not bad... Not Bad at all. :)

Here is a pic of me using Bench Daily Spell Magic Powder as my setting powder.

You can buy this fabulous powder from any Bench outlet and really, for just 19 pesos and fifty centavos, what have you got to lose? Try it and see what it'll do for your MOTD.

Thanks for dropping by and may the glam be with you! :)
