Pam For The Glam

Hi, guys! We were invited to the PLDT Home Fiber Fastbreak event and got to meet homegrown PBA players. I grew up in a household that was obsessed with basketball so it was an especially nice experience for me to attend and  be able to share the news with my big bro who coaches in the States.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jayson Castro, Gryann Mendoza, Poy Erram, Glenn Khobuntin and the “Scoring Apostle” PJ Simon and were given time to ask them questions. We loved the very candid and down to earth answers they gave us. We also enjoyed seeing the camaraderie among them and they would often talk to each other in Bisaya and would tease each other during the event.

PLDT Home understands how much we Pinoys love basketball and how much it brings people together and just in time for the Playoffs, PLDT Home is offering a promo for new Fiber customers. From April 1, 2024 to May 31, 2024, new applicants of the Fiber Unli All 2099 plan will be given a complimentary NBA League Pass for one month they can use to catch more live games right at home.

I definitely think all basketball lovers are going to love this deal because not only are you getting their Unli All 2099 plan, but also getting the NBA league Pass to sweeten the deal. So don’t miss out, guys!

Keeping fresh and cool can be challenging with the summer heat. Finding ways to create a home that relieves us from the rising temperatures is essential. While it’s hot, hot, hot outside, we need to gear up and be ready with these cool hacks and tips to prep our homes for summer.

Here are some cool hacks from Home Credit that will help with the heat.

Create Light and Open Spaces or Even Just the Illusion of Them

Moving furniture around to create flowing spaces in the house makes the area look bigger and cooler. The more open spaces you create, the better the air circulation.

If you have a smaller space to work with, you may paint the area with light colors and use sheer curtains that offer a little privacy and shade but let the sunlight and breeze into the room. Decluttering will also help make your home look like it has more space than it has.

Decorate to Generate Cooling Vibes

Adding decorations like mini fountains with flowing water and beautiful lush green plants will make any room inviting. Make sure the area is well-ventilated and well-lit, and place comfortable furniture perfect for lounging about with a nice book. Rattan or wood with cushions or a chaise lounge would be perfect choices, as these would let air pass through them. A nice woven hammock would be great in open areas like the porch. Aim for a fresh vibe when you decorate so your home is a cooling sanctuary from the heat.

Use fans that not only cool you off but will fit into the theme that you are trying to create. Choose a model that doesn’t take up too much space and disturb the tranquil vibe. The Asahi Electric Floor Tower Fan TF-005 https://www.shoppingmall.ph/installment-deals/asahi-electric-floor-tower-fan-tf-005/c5ad0c1b-c16f-4daa-b1b5-324bd089fdd8?s_type=search-result&s_index=0 gives you a five speed setting to breeze through the summer heat and is aesthetically unobtrusive and aesthetically blends in with the light and breezy look you are aiming for. Beauty and efficient functionality in one product.

Use Beddings and Covers That Make A Cooling Difference

Choose fabrics made from natural materials, as these are more breathable than their synthetic counterparts. Choose cotton, linen, or bamboo, as these are known for their breathable and cooling properties. Using them for bedding and living room pillow covers gives you hypoallergenic breathability. Of the three, bamboo offers a moisture-wicking quality perfect for the humid tropical climate.

Set Up Hydration Stations

Make water accessible in key places so you don’t forget to hydrate throughout the day. Setting up hydration stations can be as simple as designating a place with high foot traffic in the house with good visibility so everyone remembers to drink water. You can place a pitcher of good old H20 in a common area with cups or go further by getting a good water dispenser.

The Fujidenzo Free Standing Water Dispenser With Child Safety Lock Hot, Cold & Warm Dispenser, Black, FWD-1031B https://www.shoppingmall.ph/installment-deals/fujidenzo-free-standing-water-dispenser-black-fwd-1031b/5b04a64a-5798-4d3e-bd37-e24103f46909?s_type=search-result&s_index=0 is an excellent choice as it not only gives you the option to choose the temperature of the water but also has a child safety feature. Perfect for homes with curious little kiddos running about.

Showcase your favorite drinks in a glass door chiller that is sure to beckon family and guests over for a drink.

Using Energy-Efficient Appliances

Keeping cool doesn’t need to break the bank. You can get appliances that perform the task efficiently without using so much energy so you don’t have to spend more money on electric bills. Choose air conditioning systems or refrigerators that have the inverter technology.

Investing in a summer-ready home in this scorching heat is a necessary expenditure. By creating an environment that exudes comfort and promotes optimal health, you reduce the stress from the sweltering heat wave and ensure that you are adequately hydrated.

Hi, Glamazons! If you love nude pinks, this is one shade you don’t wanna miss out on. I just got Mehr and it has become my current fave pink from my growing MAC lipstick collection. If you like nude pinks continue reading on for my take on this shade.

This shade is actually part of MAC’s Mickey Contactor Lipstick Collection— Yash, Mehr, Gulabi, and Mocha. I’m partial to matte finish so I got Yash and Mehr and both are nude faves of mine. I’m almost out of Yash. That is how much I love it.

In case you didn’t know who Mickey Contractor is, he’s a famous makeup artist from India who is also known as the makeup guru of Bollywood. You may follow him on his Instagram account to see his beautiful work. He has been with MAC Cosmetics since it launched in India and continues to work with them and famous stars to this day. What I love about his work is how he encourages women to embrace their skin’s natural skin tone. Fun fact: this fave nude shade was named after Mickey Contractor’s wife Meher.
Mehr is a flattering mauve perfect for any occasion and skin tone

A lot of times, morena ladies such as myself find it hard to find truly flattering nudes for our lips because of our skin tone or lip pigmentation. Mickey Contractor has released an entire collection geared towards women with darker skin tones. Inspired by the Indian beauties he’s worked with, he has come up with a line that works with the beauty of billions of women all over the world that are not fair skinned.

Mehr, is a beautiful nude pink that looks great both on its own, or with darker or similar shades of lipliner. It is a subtle mauve that will work with both casual or glammed up makeup looks.

Natural enough for light, everyday makeup looks for simply running errands or brunch with friends and stunning enough to finish off dramatic looks.

The blue tone of this beautiful pink nude doesn't have a yellowing effect on the teeth

While this line has been designed to flatter women with darker skin, Mehr works well with almost every skin tone. It looks a little darker on fairer skin but still looks just as gorgeous. It is one of the few shades I feel confident enough to recommend for blind buying or gifting because it just is truly a very flattering color.

It has a matte finish but isn't drying and feels comfortable on the lips. It gives you a fresh and natural look

I am definitely happy to add this shade to my MAC lipstick collection and it’s currently my fave lipstick. Thanks for dropping by and may the glam be with you always! :)
