Pam For The Glam

Hi, glamazons! I went lipstick shopping again and got another bullet from MAC Cosmetics. This time in the shade Thanks, It’s MAC. I may be late to the party but since I’ve only recently seen this shade on my feed, I basically just checked out every Tiktok video featuring it.

Almost every video I saw was raving at how beautiful and flattering it was and some even claiming it was one of those universally flattering shades that come out every now and then from a brand.

I only found one video that didn’t agree with all the positive reception so I decided to get it and decide for myself if it was indeed worth all the hype.

Thanks, It’s MAC is a lusterglass lipstick that is quite moisturizing and has a slight shine to it. If you swatch it on your arm, it is actually very pretty with a teeny tiny hint of shimmer.

On my lips alone, however, it looked kinda pale and almost concealer-like. Pigmentation-wise it wasn’t as I expected because I need about 2 coats of it. For me, personally it looked more like a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. I have nothing against tinted balms but for pricey lipsticks, I expect more pigmentation and oomph. It does benefit from lining the lips with a darke brown liner, though and makes the lips look plump.

Pros:
Moisturizing
Feels light on the lips
Makes the lips look plump and hydrated

Cons:
Too pale for my skin tone
Transfers easily
Melts easily
Needs a dark lipliner to work for me
Works more like tinted lip balm for me

I think it’s a beautiful shade but I think I just don’t like the finish it comes in because I prefer mattes. It’s my first time to try luster glass and I didn’t like it all that much to be honest. Again, that is just a personal preference.

It doesn’t look like lipstick on my lips and if I don’t use a dark liner, it looks like I don’t have lips at all. It works great with a dark brown lip liner though.

All in all, I think if you dislike matte finish and prefer hydrating formulas for lip products and don’t mind reapplying more than usual, and can make this shade work for you, I think it’s a nice shade to have.

Personally, it just wasn’t very flattering on its own on my lips with my skin tone. For your reference, I am an NC 35-40 for MAC. It could also just be entirely possible that I’m wearing it wrong too. I’m gonna experiment on it some more to see how I can make it work for me.

This shade, unfortunately, is not gonna make my list of universally flattering lipstick shades. I think it looks great on all the girls I’ve seen trying it on Tiktok but it just did not work out for me. In fact, I would recommend shades such as Yash, Velvet Teddy, Kinda Sexy, and Whirl over it.

Thanks for dropping by and may the glam be with you always! :)

We had the pleasure of attending Sun Life’s event dedicated to celebrating and discussing life as a financial advisor. All the stories and journeys that led to them choosing this path were so relatable and the speakers talked about their journeys so candidly.

Sun Life Philippines, the leading life insurance company in terms of premium income, net income, and total assets, has organized a series of recruitment events called the Live Brighter Forum for aspiring Financial Advisors. These forums are part of the "The Next Big Gig" campaign, which aims to attract Millennials and Gen Zs to join Sun Life as Financial Advisors and create a lucrative income stream. The first event took place at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City on April 27, to be followed by the Zuri Hotel in Iloilo City on May 11, SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on May 18, and Laus Group Events Centre in San Fernando, Pampanga on June 15.

The Live Brighter Forums offer potential candidates the opportunity to discover the numerous benefits of being a Sun Life Financial Advisor. They will learn about the unlimited income potential, flexible working hours, and the rewarding experience of helping clients achieve financial security and a brighter future. Attendees will also have the chance to hear inspiring stories from existing Sun Life Financial Advisors.

In addition, participants can engage in various activity booths that simulate the tasks and experiences of a Sun Life Financial Advisor. These include the "Next Big Quiz," where attendees can test their knowledge about life insurance, the "Next Big Destination" booth which showcases the travel incentives available to Sun Life advisors, and the "Next Big Project" booth that highlights the corporate social responsibility initiatives of advisors. Visitors can vote on the project they believe advisors should support next and have the opportunity to win exclusive Sun Life merchandise and other exciting prizes.
